Holidays to Bugibba

Overview

Situated on the northern tip of Malta, Bugibba is a very popular holiday resort sitting on the rocky coastline of St Paul’s Bay. There’s the opportunity to enjoy snorkelling and diving here as well as relaxing in the sun at one of the town’s lidos before heading back to one of the modern hotels to freshen up for the night ahead. Bars and restaurants are open late giving Bugibba its bubbly and lively reputation.

Beaches

Although Bugibba isn’t the most well-known for its beaches – it is situated on a rocky coastline – there is the opportunity to spend some time on the sand. Bugibba has a 150m long perched beach, one that is man-made and has access to the water via wooden bridges. This Blue Flag beach is managed by the Malta Tourism Authority and offers watersports, diving activities and beautiful views of Mistra Bay and St Paul’s Island.

Things To Do

If you don’t fancy the beach, Bugibba has a lot of public lidos that are a great way to cool off in the summer sun. George’s Seafront Beach Lido is one of the most popular places to enjoy the warm weather. Snorkelling and scuba diving are also great activities to do in Bugibba with a shipwreck and 13-ton statue of Jesus to discover under the ocean and tropical fish swimming around the rocky outcrops.

Food And Drink

Bugibba offers a large variety of restaurants and bars including many that serve up a range of delicious Mediterranean dishes. Sheep’s cheese and coriander flavoured sausage are a favourite here but you’ll also find a lot of fast food places on Triq It-Turisti, Bugibba’s main street. Irish bars are also common here and a lot of open-air pubs and clubs in the cobbled central square stay open until sunrise for a wild night out!
