Golden sandy beach with palm trees, sun loungers, overlooking turquoise waters

Holidays to Ayia Napa

A banging blend of sandy beaches, warm weather, dazzling nature and buzzing nightlife, an Ayia Napa holiday is Cyprus at its sensational best!

Nights out in Napa

Ayia Napa doesn’t mess around when the sun goes down! Whether you’re sipping cocktails by the harbour or losing your voice to house beats at Castle Club, this place parties hard.

Start with cocktails on the square, then bounce from beach bars to neon-lit clubs where DJs drop bangers ‘til breakfast. You can keep it casual with laidback lounge beats – or go full throttle at mega venues like Nissi Bay Beach Bar or Club Black ’n’ White. Foam parties, UV paint, fire shows? Yep, it’s all on the cards!

All aboard to explore the coast

Take a break from sunbathing and recover from your night out with some serious offshore adventures by paddleboard or catamaran.

You can explore cool, commanding cliffs, visit sea caves at Cape Pyla or scuba dive with colourful marine life around epic shipwrecks. Hop off at Protaras too – a picturesque town home to the sandy Fig Tree Bay. There are tour companies all over, so where you go is totally your call.

Head to Cape Greco National Forest Park

Whether you’re hiking, biking, taking stunning snaps of Love Bridge or just enjoying some top-notch nature-watching, the wild nature trails and rugged rocky outcrops at Cape Greco National Forest Park will get your blood flowing.

After all that action, kick back in laidback Konnos Bay – a natural cove that’s perfect for a swim.

Family-friendly fun (and a dose of adrenaline)

Ayia Napa is a cracker for the whole fam. Littl’uns love the dolphin show at Protaras Ocean Aquarium, while riding the camels at Mazotos Camel Park is an absolute blast.

And Waterworld Waterpark has slidey silliness in abundance – and a heavenly lazy river for a more chill sort of fun. Because up next can be zero gravity as you hurl skywards on Parko Paliatso’s famous SlingShot, or that tummy-twirling feeling on a once-in-a-lifetime bungeeeeee.

Top beaches: Wild windsurfing and lazy lounging

Nissi is Ayia Napa in a beach – think two beaut bays, crystal-clear sea and cafés, bars and restaurants galore – but Pantahou’s just next to Ayia Napa harbour and the place for if you’re after a surefire sun-lounger. Elsewhere, you can unleash watersports skills you never knew you had at Makronissos and Landa beaches — they’re also shallow enough for kiddos to paddle and splash around, so win-win!

Nightlife: Napa’s electric energy

The bustling bars around Ayia Napa Square all set for big nights out as well as quieter cocktails! Join a bar crawl, get wild at a foam party or hit up smaller tavernas for stripped-back acoustic sets and traditional Cypriot music to take a break from the bassline! Beach bars down near Nissi are elite stops for a sandy dance at dusk. Or why not escape to a lush bar away from the full-on town centre?

Food and drink: Get that gyros, baby!

Grab quick bites from a classic chain or indulge in some traditional Cypriot scran — you’re guaranteed great flavour when it comes to packed gyros, saucy souvlaki and those salty chunks of halloumi. Head to one of the countless restaurants down by the harbour for seafood fresh out of the nets, or grab a table at the iconic Napa Tavern in the heart of town. Delicious.

When to go to Ayia Napa

Just like its dreamy Mediterranean climate, cheap Ayia Napa holidays are available all year round! June to September is peak beach season, and the nightlife is buzzing. If anything over 30C writes you off, come in spring (March to May) when the parks and pine trees are in full bloom. Autumn (September to November) is a brilliant bet for a more active getaway, while winter is prime time for some peace and quiet, with festive charm and a less rowdy crowd.
