Overview

Punta Prima is a tiny resort in Menorca’s south east corner, with a spacious, small-town feel and an airport transfer time of just 15 minutes. The resort consists of little more than a beach, a seafront row of restaurants and a handful of hotels, but this is part of its charm. Punta Prima is ideal for young families and couples who want a quiet holiday setting.

Beaches

Punta Prima’s beach is one of Menorca’s most popular; it’s sandy and spacious, and its location means it gets the sun for practically the whole day. Even though the resort is small the beach will often be busy; it’s a favourite with locals and it attracts holidaymakers staying in nearby Mahon. There’s a breeze that makes it a great site for sailing and windsurfing, but it does mean swimmers have to watch the currents!

Things To Do

In Punta Prima there’s not much to do except relax on the beach, but it has a great location close to bigger resorts and attractions. Mahon is just 20 minutes away by bus and home to many cultural landmarks, or you can visit Sant Lluís, a charming whitewashed town where you can find quaint little shops and restaurants. If you prefer the great outdoors, the Cami de Cavalls walking trail covers most of the island.

Food And Drink

Punta Prima’s beachfront is lined with bars and restaurants, perfect for an evening meal or some cocktails with a beautiful ocean view. Many holidaymakers stay on an all inclusive basis and dine at their hotels, and to accommodate this, a lot of resorts organise evening entertainment for their guests, whether it be a quiz night, live music or karaoke. If you’re looking for something more lively, a taxi to Mahon is very reasonably priced.
