A quiet, relaxing part of the Costa Brava, Blanes is a stark comparison to other resorts on this part of the Spanish coast. With no loud clubs, Blanes is suited to families who love the beach, enjoy theme parks and a like bit of local culture. Beaches

What can be said about Blane’s beaches other than they are stunning? With 4km of sandy coastline to walk along, you’ll be spoilt for choice. If you like a quiet secluded beach, Sant Francesc is a great little hideaway just a short journey away from Blanes. S’Abanall holds the title of the longest beach in Blanes and Platja de Blanes is the main attraction with the southern end being great for families.

Food And Drink

Blanes is still a traditional resort with a lot of locals holidaying here every year. Therefore, the food and drink have retained a thoroughly Spanish feel with visitors enjoying late dinners after a Spanish siesta. Tapas bars are dotted around the resort, interspersed with a variety of Dutch bars and French, German and Mexican restaurants. Plus children are welcome at most places apart from a few late night bars, meaning you’ll find Blanes extremely family friendly in the evening.

Things To Do

Stretch your legs and enjoy a walk around the medieval castle of Sant Joan where you’ll not only learn about the history of Blanes, but you’ll get to see a breathtaking view over the town too. Alternatively, you could visit the Marimurtra Botanical Gardens or take the family to a wild theme park or water park! Port Aventura is within easy reach of Blanes and Waterworld is just outside neighbouring Lloret de Mar.
