Hiking

Boasting a remarkably favourable climate, hiking is just one of many activities that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Whilst many are drawn to Malta by its stunning wildflowers, there are also caves, cliffs, ruins, and other delights to enjoy.

With areas such as Majjistral Nature and History Park being ideal for day hikes, there are many possibilities for shorter hikes too. Equally good for hiking are Gozo and Comino, which, like Malta, offer their own array of splendid views and countryside.

Diving

With such a fantastically favourable climate and an astonishing array of underwater sites, it’s easy to see why Malta is so popular with dive enthusiasts.

It’s hardly surprising that divers flock to the Maltese Islands from far and wide to explore its crystal clear waters. Offering a wide choice of shore and boat dives at varying depths, there’s something to suit divers of all abilities. With the possibility for anyone over the age of 10 to attain recognized diving qualifications, Malta really is the ideal destination for a family holiday!

Whether you’re an experienced snorkeler, wishing to explore the Island’s underwater glory alone, or you’d prefer a guided tour with a bit of instruction, the snorkeling options abound!

And whilst there’s no end of caves and sea life awaiting you close to shore, for those wishing to go further out, there are boat tours for snorkelers too! With so many splendid snorkeling options available, why not take the plunge in Malta?

History

With over 7,000 years of history, Malta is the ultimate holiday destination for any history buff! Home to some of the oldest free-standing temples in the World, the Islands have also played host to the Phoenicians, the Romans, the Knights of St. John, Napoleon and the British Empire. A jaunt to its phenomenal fortifications, and an open-mouthed-gape at its truly awe-inspiring architecture is a must.

No trip to Malta is complete without going on a journey through time, from the prehistoric times to modern day.
