Overview

Kiotari is a relative newcomer to the holiday destination scene, a purpose-built resort with a great beach and all the necessary amenities for an easy, stress-free holiday. Dominated by new-build hotels that popped up to satisfy the growing tourist demand, Kiotari is a favourite among families and couples who enjoy the convenience of a hotel complex where they can spend whole days relaxing by the pool and indulging in their all inclusive package.

Beaches

Kiotari’s beach is the proud owner of a Blue Flag award, a status granted to beaches with excellent facilities and cleanliness. The 4km stretch of sand is spacious and pretty, set amongst rolling hills and equipped with toilets, changing rooms, sun loungers and beach bars. It’s also a great place to try out a watersport, whether it be parasailing, kayaking or windsurfing, or just hire a pedalo!

Things To Do

Because of Kiotari’s large number of all inclusive hotels, many visitors find themselves staying close to their hotel to get their money’s worth from their board basis. The hotels have responded accordingly, putting on a range of activities and entertainment including sports and evening shows. Kiotari also has several supermarkets, independent shops and boutiques where you can buy local produce, authentic gifts and souvenirs.

Day Trips

Kiotari is well-placed for short day trips to nearby towns. 10 minutes away are the medieval castle ruins and old church at Asklipion or the village of Gennadi with its whitewashed houses and winding streets. Lindos is also just a short drive or bus ride away to visit the Acropolis and pretty beachside town. Kids, in particular, will love the Valley of the Butterflies, a nature reserve inhabited by thousands of tiger moths.
