Holidays to Magaluf

Magaluf holidays are perfect for boisterous behaviour, a proper boogie, keeping the kids busy and just kicking back completely on a dreamy beach.

Let your hair down

It’s no secret… Magaluf loves a party. Dust off those dancing shoes and bust a groove in world-famous BCM, grab a glass of bubbly (or three) at the bougie Nikki Beach or amble along the main strip Punta Ballena, where happy hours get the ball rolling for cheeky stag dos, hen groups and big birthday bashes. Where better to celebrate a milestone, eh! Visit BH Mallorca for world-famous DJs, EastEnders bar for cracking karaoke or kick back and watch sunset from the relative refuge of Rooftop Nine’s roof terrace.

A classic, fuss-free summer break

Swap the tipsy silliness for chillin’ beach days, feel your work stress dissolve in the sea breeze as you wander the Palmanova promenade or get a serious buzz flyboarding out at sea. And if flyboarding is a bit too oh-my-god, there are loads of other watersports (let’s hear it for the pedalo!). Purpose-built for banging holidays, Magaluf is entertainment central, with affordable hotels and all-inclusives galore — go on, beat your record for visits to the breakfast bar!

Day trips to Palma: A super sweet change of scene

Packed with modernist art and stylish plazas, Mallorca’s colourful capital will defo get the romance flowing. Stroll the botanical gardens, coast lazily between boutiques and bars on Paseo Maritimo and dip into gorgeous galleries. Check out the gothic cathedral too — those stained-glass windows are exquisite. Palma’s laid-back vibes are an hour’s bus ride from Magaluf, or twenty minutes if you drive. Bask in it!

Foodie favourites with a Spanish twist

Magaluf holidays and fast-food favourites are a match made in heaven. What better for your cloudy head than a full-stack Maccies breakfast? Mmmm. Hit local joints to try authentic Mallorcan dishes like sweet ensaimadas pastries, cured sobrasada sausage and Tumbet — a summery plate of grilled veggies in a tangy tommie sauce. Fusion’s the name of the game elsewhere, so grab medleys of fresh seafood, steak, thai and tapas on the gorgeous Mediterranean coastline.

Get amongst it or keep things calm

Playa de Magaluf is the prime spot to people-watch, ride a jetski or hang out at beach clubs where tunes get slowly louder throughout the day. Palmanova Beach is calmer, with breathtaking blue water, perfect for a fancy photoshoot. Illetas Beach and Cala Falco are similarly serene, and Camp de Mar has more charm than a perfect cuppa in the morning. Visit Meliá South Beach to zen out at a stylish spa or just love that stunning sea view.

Magaluf’s makeover is complete!

Magaluf holidays are dreamy for all ages, so zip down the slides and soothe your sunburn in the cool pools at Western Water Park. You could visit Karting Magaluf to buzz around the track. Katmandu Park has mind-boggling 4D experiences, and you can balance the thrills with a visit to Golf Fantasia up the road — just don’t sulk if your little ‘un beats you! Pirates Adventure is a Magaluf must — a perfect evening out for oohs and aahs, like Cirque du Soleil meets Pirates of the Caribbean. Class!

A spot of shopping or some wildlife spotting

Going out-out or need swanky new swimwear? Grab some garms at Momentum Plaza Mall (or just cool off in that sweet-sweet A/C). Inland from sometimes manic Magaluf is Calvià village, a dreamy mountainous spot where traditional Mallorcan life unfolds at a slower pace. Another top day trip is Sa Dragonera Natural Park, so hop on a boat, explore the gnarly landscapes and go full Attenborough at the wall lizards. If you feel like sweating out those shandies, get your hikers on and explore the island by foot!

When to go to Magaluf

Peak summer crowds bring serious energy to Magaluf, so check the event schedule if you’ve got a particular party or DJ in mind! Avoid the July and August school holiday rush if you’re after more R&R.

Spring and autumn have perfect Mediterranean weather — hot enough to get your tan on and go exploring, and cool enough to not totally fry. These seasons are quieter and cheaper for all your shenanigans too.

Magaluf mostly shuts up shop in winter, so steer clear then. Palma’s a vibe all year round though — visit during April’s Easter parades or the artsy festivities of Nit de l’Art in September.
