Holidays to Santa Ponsa

Fancy a sweet Majorcan beach getaway for the whole fam? On Santa Ponsa holidays, you can mix outdoorsy adventures with waterpark fun and delightful day trips – it’s the Med at its best!

Ultimate summer holiday vibes

The resort’s real golden ticket beach is Playa de Santa Ponsa, where calm waters, boat rides and winning weather are the main draw. Dozens of hotels sit behind this stunning sweeping bay, offering all-inclusive deals, chilled-out days by the pool and slides for the kids to ride again and again.

Super fun family days out

Nearby, Western Water Park is jam-packed with refreshing attractions, and Jungle Parc is home to zip lines and ropes courses for thrilling outdoorsy fun. Or indulge your inner explorer on a boat trip to see the seabirds and lizards in the uninhabited Sa Dragonera Nature Park.

Explore the great outdoors (or go golfing)

A trip to Santa Ponsa is not all about hitting the beach – you’ll find plenty of opportunities to embrace nature here. Follow one of the many trails with knockout mountain-meets-sea views, try Galatzó peak for a challenge, or head deeper into the Tramuntana Mountains for a proper adventure. For gentler wanders, book tee time on the Nova Santa Ponsa golf course, or just hit the driving range or putting greens.

Discover Palma, Majorca’s magical capital

There’s a marvellous magnetism to Spanish city life, from colourful street art to golden hour cocktails in packed plazas. Palma’s charm mixes city stimulation and chilled island energy. The botanical gardens are perfect for a romantic stroll, and the seafront Paseo Maritimo promenade is home to boutiques filled with trinkets to take back to Blighty.

Lush local cuisine

Santa Ponsa is Magaluf’s calmer cousin, with quaint restaurants, bouncing Irish bars and proper pubs serving all your favourite British bites. Go local at a chiringuito beach bar and order spicy sobrasada sausage and bread to go with your ice-cold drink. An essential hack for your cheap Santa Ponsa holidays is to order a menu del dia lunch – three tasty set courses for an even nicer price.

Top beaches: No stress on these sands

Playa de Santa Ponsa brings big-beach energy – a full-whack bonanza of sailing, surfing, scuba, jet-skiing and all sorts of other stuff. Or you can just have a chilled day catching rays and splashing in shallow waters. Whatever takes your fancy! Pellicer is a smaller, quieter beach with a heavenly holiday feel. Or there’s Costa de la Calma, a charming village with its own beaut bay. Tucked away a short walk from Santa Ponsa town square, Playa des Castellot is a pebbly, peaceful beach with stunning still water.

Culture and history: Windmills, prehistory and fiestas

Wander around the prehistoric villages in Sa Morisca Nature Park and head up to the Moorish peak of Puig de sa Morisca for awesome views. Visit the pretty molino windmill, stroll to the striking Cruz del Descubrimiento monument for sweeping beach views, and get down with the locals during July’s fiery Sant Joan celebrations. In September, the Rei En Jaume fiesta means parades, street markets and pop-up bars.

Shopping: Luxury stores and market mooching

Santa Ponsa holidays are popping off with shopping, so psych yourself up for a splash-out. Port Adriano has bobbing superyachts and designer stores perfect for high-end ‘fits, while the town’s Saturday market on Avinguda de Hort is a treat of quirky local crafts. Calvià village hosts a market every Monday, which is a great excuse for exploring the magical fishing village. If you’ve still got space in your case, you’ll discover some cracking interior design stores in Polígono Son Bugadelles!

When to go to Santa Ponsa

Majorca’s a corker when it comes to hot weather, and its nightlife and beaches are bouncing from June to August. Visit in July for ultimate peak season vibes, but expect a price tag to match. Santa Ponsa holidays in spring and autumn are bright, balmy and perfect for a reset or a rave. Most attractions are quieter from March to May and September to October, which means all the more room for you! Winter is mild here, though you’ll want to layer up for chillier evenings. Check specific spots for opening hours, but with fewer people around, you’ll have a greater share of the fresh seafood. Ideal!
