Just over a four-hour flight away, the Canaries are the crème de la crème of spots for a cheap, quick dose of winter sun. With balmy temps hovering around 20°C and very little rainfall, beach breaks are still on the cards (tick), plus it's a great time of year to pick up a shoulder season deal (double tick!).
Even more of a bonus, you can also get stuck into outdoor activities without worrying about the scorching heat that comes with the summer months.
